The Department of Sports City of Murcia, headed by Miguel Cascales, has invested more than 725,000 euros in improving Alquerías football field with artificial turf installation and construction of new changing rooms.
The works of artificial turf have led to a EUR 441,000 investment and the changing of 248,000 euros, with municipal budgets for 2008 and 2009.
During the last phase of the work it was found impossible to connect the locker room with the general sewerage and began the procedure for amending the project.
The works have been awarded to Herloexca, SL, a company that has carried out the initial construction, amounting to 36,225 euros.
Lead time is 2 months and will begin shortly.
Currently, users of the sports facility using existing changing rooms, which are in good condition until they are put into service new.
On the other hand, it is important to remember that in the last ten years the City of Murcia has supported more than 210,000 euros to Club Deportivo Stables.
These grants have had an exceptionally mainly due to the debts generated by the Club since his time in the Third Division, and assumed a privileged position compared to the vast majority of football clubs in the city who do not receive such aid and kept with input from municipal boards.
