Surgery NGO Solidarity Murcia organized a photographic exhibition on his work in Mali (25/04/2010)

The exhibition 'Surgery for Development in Mali' is open until May 22 at the School of Early Childhood Murcia (EMPI) Murcia (Mulberry Street, s / n, behind Mesa del Castillo hospital in Ronda Sur) in time 16:00 to 20:00 hours.

Solidarity Surgery professionals aim to improve the health of people living in situations of great inequality in sub-Saharan Africa.

Last year a group close to twenty people consisting of surgeons, anesthetists and nurses traveled to Mali for two weeks, which enabled three operating rooms in which took place some two hundred general surgeries.

In addition, treated between 400 and 500 patients in rural areas.

Surgery for Development was established in 2000 and since then its members have carried out a multidisciplinary health intervention in the Saharawi camp in Tindouf in Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Mali.

The ultimate goal is to provide specialized care and surgical practice in the framework of cooperation for the North-South development, in collaboration with other projects to promote and improve health that are made in countries with minimal development.
