The University of Murcia held the IX Mediterranean Conference on Economics this year that had as its main theme the impact of financial crisis on the real economy and financial sector in our country.
In addition, issues such as financial reforms in Spain, the current configuration of the bench or the restructuring of the Spanish financial system as a result of the current crisis.
Invited speakers this time were, among others, the head of macroeconomic research unit of the Bank of Spain, Gabriel Perez, the writer and journalist Vicente Verdú and financial experts from the universities of Alcalá, Barcelona and Valencia.
The opening ceremony was chaired by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and Dean of the Faculty, Maria Pilar Montaner.
The address of the conference was devoted to teachers of the Department of Applied Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Murcia José Daniel Bueno and Maria Asuncion Prats.
