The Socialist Party says that "the PP impairs public transport service" (16/04/2010)

Councilman José Manuel Abellán PSOE claims that public transport in the municipality continues to deteriorate in a rush, especially when it is rumored that both the CARM and the city of Murcia, among others, due to Lat Bus company more than six million euros and more than 500 workers who are not charging full salary and raises strike

Socialist Councilman José Manuel Abellán has requested information from the mayor of Transport, Antonio Castillo, about the debt that the City has with the company Buspor Lat payment of grants to encourage the use of public transport.

According to information coming to the Socialist Party, currently, both the CARM and the Consistory of Murcia, among others, owes more than 6 million euros to Lat Bus and more than 500 workers who are not charging full salary and pose to strike.

Some facts that if true, says Abellán, represent undoubtedly excessive wear on public transport service in the county, already damaged, with some very high rates and a slow bus, a few times and frequencies in many remote cases of the needs of Murcia and a mess of charges that do not understand anyone, illogical and discriminatory against people who live in villages.

Meetings with Lat Bus

Likewise, the PSOE mayor has requested two interviews, one with the works council and other Lat Bus with management, to learn first hand what the financial and employment situation of public transport operating company in the municipality.

"In the case of certain debt, both regional and municipal government have with Lat Bus, the PP will demand immediate payment thereof to avoid public transport to sink further," concludes Abellán.
