Space Molinos del Rio Stables hosts, from today until 30th May, the first solo exhibition of Murcia Inma Salazar.
In total there are 16 portraits in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, wood and paper hanging on the walls of this room.
All have been made in the period between June 2009 and January 2010.
As stated in the catalog Professor of Art History Department at the University of Murcia, Concepcion de la Peña, "drawing, color and picture are the three pillars on which deepens Inma Salazar in this exhibition. The work of Bacon , Freud and Picasso, among others, is cause for reflection and inspiration. "
De la Peña added that "Inma Salazar chooses to set aside convention in search of authenticity, the primitive and spontaneous."
With this exhibition, Space Molinos del Rio Stables reaffirms its commitment to the promising young contemporary art in Murcia thus following the earlier samples organized in Mar Sáez, Kike Ruiz Gomicia or Moses.
Salazar has a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and in recent years has resided in various countries of Central Europe.
He has participated in various group exhibitions in Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic Valencia and last winter won second prize in the competition among young artists of the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia.
