Contemporary art and audiences (13/04/2010)

Arts education and its incorporation into educational programs of art spaces, and analysis of public dialogue with which the different forms of art are some of the issues addressed by the seminar "Manifesta 8.

Contemporary art, hearings, mediation and participation ", which takes place between 19 April and 19 May.

The activity is coordinated by professors from the University of Murcia Rosa Hervás, Pedro Ortuño, María del Carmen Sánchez-Rojas and Francisco Caballero Cano, and is aimed at students of Education, Fine Arts and Art History.

The presentations will take place in rooms Mariano Baquero Jorge Guillén and the Faculty of Arts, Campus de la Merced.

The workshop also included a working group in the CENDEAC, Ancient Artillery Barracks Cartagena street where, on a weekly basis, and as of the theoretical approaches of the seminar, we will work on preparing a final paper.

The seminar is organized by the Department of Education Manifesta8 and the University of Murcia, and is part of the European Biennial of Contemporary Art in the Region of Murcia in dialogue with North Africa.

Enrollment in the seminar is free and can be made until next April 15.
