Social Welfare assistance reinforces the Beniaján Day Centre with a new investment for socio activities (11/04/2010)

Downtown Day Care for Beniaján continues to improve the service offered to seniors, fulfilling the commitment of the government team to promote a greater well-being the largest in the municipality.

Thanks to the three existing centers-Barriomar Day, Beniaján and Cabeza de Torres, older people can access this type of socio benefits that improve their quality of life.

Thus, it has already contracted the service of socio activities of the center city, budgeted at EUR 1,097,532 for a term of two years and two for extension.

Day care centers offer health care to improve the health and welfare of consumers and their families.

The geriatric treatment is provided, supported by food and nutrition service, so that the elderly have a balanced diet.

Also offers fitness and physical therapy, personal care services, psychological care, social care, occupational therapy, support and intervention with families and adapted transport.

The team that comprehensively responds to the needs of users consists of a coordinator, a geriatrician, a social worker, psychologist, a nurse, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, geriatric assistants and service personnel .

Day Care Center is a social resource of extraordinary importance, since it guarantees the coverage of basic attention and care needed by dependent elderly without their families feel the pressure and limitation involved in their care and at times difficult to reconcile the commitment of the elder care with work.
