Take advantage of their presence in the region to meet the Spring Festival of Murcia, Mar Menor and a winery in Jumilla
The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, presided over a dinner last night TCD1 committee of the World Road Association which, since yesterday, Wednesday, and until tomorrow, Friday, is holding a meeting in Murcia involving forty representatives from various countries (U.S., UK, France, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Japan, Madagascar, Namibia ..) experts in the study and improvement of management techniques and conservation of the road.
The meeting of that committee, chaired by Anita Kunkel German-Sunder and that includes the Deputy Director General of Road Maintenance (Ministerio de Fomento) and the Head of State Highway Demarcation in Murcia, Ángel García Garay, is concerns the drafting of the final report of the working group for preparation of the XXIV World Road Congress to be held next year in Mexico.
Members of this committee, which is divided into three working groups, in addition to meetings aimed at this purpose, will be making a visit to a maintenance center in the State Highway Network in Murcia and know the management system is being implemented in them.
It also will be touring the works of the Altiplano highway being built by the Ministry of Development.
Finally, the international experts committee members take advantage of their stay in the region for several visits.
Yesterday they were in the Casino of Murcia, where they were greeted by the mayor.
They will also learn about the Spring Festival, the Mar Menor and a winery in Jumilla.
