Progress and Democracy Union urges the City of Murcia to expedite the opening of the library of St. James the Great (02/04/2010)

Two years ago he was projected to open this facility, which has cost Murcia for 1 million euros.

But inexplicably remains closed even though the work is finished.

Murcia, April 2, 2010.

Even with the promises of the Consistory of the new library will soon open in the neighborhood of Murcia, the reality is that the site occupied by the building is in an advanced state of disrepair, and the neighbors do not look to progress the work of opening and conditioning.

Following allegations of political organizations and neighborhood associations, Mayor Miguel Angel House promised this early March that will enable the space to provide a bibliographic service area of Murcia, which has raised numerous objections to the City by other aspects such as the famous level crossing with barriers, or inadequate sidewalks and public spaces in the area of Ronda Sur.

From UPyD fear that, as has been done before, the opening was delayed until late this year or early 2011 for the forthcoming municipal elections, and that the needs of these residents of St. James the Greater become material Popular Party propaganda once again.
