Space Molinos del Rio Stables invited to photograph the traditions, ethnography and biodiversity Murcia (18/03/2010)

The photo contest 'Murcia.

Ethnography, culture and traditions', organized by the Department of Culture through Space Molinos del Rio Stables, this year celebrates its fifth edition.

As in previous years, remain two categories, those of 'Current Stock' (heritage recent images) and 'historical photo' (collection of old photographs from family archives that constitute ethnographic documents), which adds third , 'Cultural landscapes and regional biodiversity', on the occasion of the celebration, in 2010, the International Year of Biodiversity.

The aim of this competition is to encourage artistic creativity and documenting and sharing our traditions while serving to save images from family archives.

The contest rules are available on the website www.molinosdelrio.org establish that the photographs will be about anything that reflects the historical, cultural and ethnographic some of the natural regions that make up the Region of Murcia.

The competition is open to all Spanish citizens over 18 years may participate with both analog and digital photographs, both color and black and white.

Each of the three modes is equipped with a first and second prize of 600 and 400 euros respectively, except for historical photography, the prize is 300 and 200 euros.

The deadline for submission of works is April 30.

The work should be directed to the headquarters of the competition (Mills River Area-Stables) by mail or in person.
