Students of the School of Dramatic Art in Murcia end their tour in the U.S. and Mexico (17/03/2010)

Students at the School of Dramatic Art Murcia (ESAD) concluded last night at the Spanish Repertory Theater in New York on a tour of Mexico and the United States with the work of Calderon de la Barca 'With whom I come, come. "

Students have toured several cities playing classical Spanish theater in El Paso (USA) and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Delicias and Valle de Allende (Mexico)

The Spanish Repertory Theatre in New York is a scenario that has international recognition and used to host the best in Spanish theater and works written by Hispanics settled in America.

The work performed and has been the central representation of the tour, "with whom I come, I come 'is a comedy by Pedro Calderón de la Barca which takes place in Verona in the seventeenth century, but the staging does a translation into the 50's and the postwar environment.

The tour began last month in El Paso, where the School of Drama opened the XXV Annual Festival of the Spanish Golden Age with the work 'Between Classical goes the Game', a show-recital consists of a selection from the best Scenes from this period by authors such as Lope de Vega, Tirso de Molina, Zorrilla and Calderón de la Barca.

During their stay, students always used to visit two centers textual and musical interpretation, the Actors Studio and Juliard School and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the University of New York.

The troupe is composed of students Patricia Suede, Ricardo Arqueros, Juan José Denia, Elena Serrano, Vicente Morales, Francisco San Martin and Veronica Bermudez, under the direction of Professor Francisco Garcia and the director of the School, Juan Angel Serrano.

ESAD Murcia is one of the leading centers of Spain official in the training of actors and stage directors.

Currently offers three diploma in stage management, interpretation, textual and musical interpretation.

In 2004, the ESAD was the first Spanish theater training center invited to perform at the Spanish Repertory Theater in New York, where he was a great critical and commercial success with 'The Truth Suspected, by Juan Ruiz de Alarcón.
