The University of Murcia presented the International Festival of Youth Orchestras (17/03/2010)

This festival, whose main objectives are to strengthen ties between young musicians from different countries and bringing classical music to the university population and the Region of Murcia, has this year with some new features, such as updating and improving the web where you can find all information relevant to this festival, and the inclusion of San Juan de Dios church as a backdrop.

The festival's artistic director, José Antonio Clemente, said that this event will orchestras of Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Madrid and Merida, as well as international "José Artigas, Uruguay, and the School of Music at the University Ingesunds Karlstad, Sweden.

Closed the ceremony by the Vice Chancellor of University Extension, Francisco Guillermo Diaz, who spoke of the pride of the educational institution to participate in a cultural event of this importance.
