Hundreds of students and teachers from the UCAM observed a minute's silence for the victims of terrorism (11/03/2010)

Hundreds of students, faculty and staff at the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) today kept a minute of silence for the victims of terrorism, to mark the European Day of Remembrance for these people, sources of educational institution in a statement.

The event was attended by the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, and several victims of terrorism, as the delegate in the Murcia Region of the Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT), Alejandro Urteaga, and the director of the International Charity and Volunteering, Antonio Alcaraz.

In this sense, the president of the UCAM said that 'since the University joined us all victims of terrorism, with the desire to end and this scourge ", and made a prayer for the victims and their families.

Also spoke during the ceremony two students of the university, on behalf of other students, read several statements of support for victims, which recognized the strength of these people to move forward.

For its part, the delegate in the Murcia region of AVT encouraged young people to mobilize in support of victims.

In addition, the UCAM noted that this afternoon at the Temple of the Monastery of Los Jeronimos, will hold a Mass for the victims of terrorism and their families.
