The University of Murcia installed luminaires that reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 70% (10/03/2010)

The University of Murcia has been installed on the campus of more than fifty Espinardo Luminaire "LED" technology that reduces energy consumption and cut emissions of carbon dioxide and sulfur to the atmosphere at a seventy percent.

This academic institution of Murcia is thus one of the top Spanish universities in making deep inroads into the energy saving and sustainable development with the placement of lighting that also prevents light pollution from streetlights traditional sodium vapor.

In addition, these LED lights have a lifespan of more than ten years, compared to two years which usually lasts a sodium vapor lamp.

Luminaires installed on the campus of Espinardo have undergone quality control of the R & D company "Lidolight Saving Energy" and have an internal circuit electric transmission allowed to continue functioning even if one of the LEDs fails , which prevents complete shutdown of the light, in addition to issuing a whiter light.

This new lighting has been installed by the company "Lidolight" which is based in Yecla.
