The University of Murcia acknowledged the work of women in the beginning of democracy (09/03/2010)

The University of Murcia joined the International Day of Working Women with a public act of homage to women of the university community for their dedication and career contributed to the principle of democracy to improve their rights are in the institution.

The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, distinguished civil servants Loreto and Maria Victoria Gómez Alcaraz, and White teachers Agulleiro, Consuelo Delgado, Concepcion Martín, Francisca Moya, María Encarnación Nicolás, María Teresa Pérez Picazo, Elvira Ramos and Concepción Sánchez-Pedroza.

In the event, held in Convalescence, José Antonio Cobacho congratulated the honorees and reiterated the commitment of the institution to further improve the employment situation of women through the newly established Women's Equality Unit.

The Unit for Equality between Men and Women, which has been the organizer of the tribute, is directed by Professor of Civil Law Incarnation Serna.
