Some information posters in specimens of species added to the Malecon Garden didactic value (01/03/2010)

The Malecón garden again a botanical garden, as that was until the Civil War.

The Department of Environment and Urban Quality has placed over forty posters in the most representative species of this park with all the information on the trees.

In the coming months to continue installing the rest of the specimens in this green area.

Thus, the labels include the popular name, scientific name and geographic area of origin and distribution of the plant.

In this way the council seeks to provide educational value for that besides being a place to stroll becomes a learning place.

And environmental routes have been organized on the Malecon for children, but, in this way anyone can know the peculiarities of each of the trees.

In addition, the council is planning soon label some forty specimens in the Garden of Gunpowder.
