Students of the University of Murcia may carry on the business practices ENAGÁS (26/02/2010)

The University of Murcia and the company ENAGÁS, SA signed a collaboration agreement under which the educational institution students may do internships in the gas company facilities.

This agreement, which formalizes the cooperation that existed between the two institutions, laying the groundwork for ENAGÁS technicians participating in the Master of Chemical Engineering courses offered by the University and students it can perform the final project in this company.

Claudio Rodriguez, head of the Cartagena plant, said at the signing ceremony, held in the building of convalescence, which ENAGÁS, with the agreement, goes a step further to gain a foothold in the social development of the Region of Murcia, for which to 2014 planned an investment of 124 million euros.

Responsible for ENAGÁS stated that it wants to give the opportunity for students of the University of Murcia to learn and participate in the experience of a company with more than 9,000 miles of pipelines throughout the country and three regasification plants in Cartagena , Huelva and Barcelona.

The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, referred to the importance of this agreement to further advance the work of transferring the knowledge that his trial, is a major unfinished business of the Spanish university.

Cobacho extended the terms of the agreement signed today the promotion of seminars and courses, the promotion of specific contracts between the two entities and any other activity of mutual benefit.

The convention is sponsored by the Professor of Chemical Engineering, University of Murcia Antonio Bódalo.
