The Planning Department is renewing its software and technical equipment in order to streamline its services to the city, adapting to new technologies, facilitate electronic processing, scanning the contents and save paper.

Specifically, the City Council approved the contract specifications for computer equipment in the management positions related to eGovernment.

This initiative will save costs of printing, handling and excessive time and consultation, both for the Administration to the citizen.

It is providing 60 computers, 33 scanners of different sizes and 120 24-inch TFT screens.

Likewise, extended storage systems on servers to store the new information they hold.

The planned investment is EUR 199,520 and take two computer technicians working for 3 months for the installation of new systems and training to employees of the Management.

Also plans to add a new identification system files to make your search easier and faster.

This system adapts to the digitization of the different files and will reduce paper.

This solution was adopted because the number of records that are managed in the Planning Department has grown considerably.

Currently the control of such records is manual.

The planned investment is 89,320 euros and is expected to 5 technicians working for over two months.

Furthermore, consistent with the proposal to improve services Planning Department, will upgrade the information system of inspectors and providing them with mobile terminals reporters PDA, Tablet PC and GPS so they can complete the data in situ and as photography, video, etc.
