Five vehicles donated by the city to the NGO Action Blue permit the transfer of health workers and patients in the three health projects that the organization maintains in Togo.
In particular there are three motorcycles, a van and a car that would be discharged from the municipal fleet.
The main objective of these projects is the health cooperation, so that the performance of the volunteers will focus on performing eye surgeries and treatments of diseases such as cataracts and trachoma.
Such is the support of the government team and Murcia to the NGO that the Mayor received last July the Solidarity Award given to the town of Murcia "by the NGO Action Blue" by high involvement and support charitable causes proven year after year, both in helping the needy in the society of Murcia, as in the partnership for cooperation in third world countries.
Blue NGO ActionAid, founded in 1999 within the Local Police in Murcia, aims to intervene in development cooperation and humanitarian assistance in the field of health, education and basic infrastructure construction .
Result of this work has been carried out 39 cooperation projects in different countries such as Togo, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Peru, Western Sahara, Benin, etc.
