The painter Antonio Alarcón Miguel Hernández Happy honors at the Museum of the City (05/02/2010)

The painter Antonio Alarcón Happy Murcia and the Museum of the City pay tribute to the poet Miguel Hernandez in Orihuela the centenary of his birth.

The shows 'Nanas de la cebolla', which will be open until next March 7, shows the pictorial interpretation Happy Alarcón made based on the work of Hernandez.

These 31 paintings have a regular format of 100x70 cm, except the portrait of Hernández that measures 100x100 cm, predominating in all basic colors.

After studying his work, fractionated the poem in 30 parts, one for each year of life of Miguel Hernández, including following new works is a portrait of the poet Orihuela.

The artist has transformed lines and stanzas of poems of Miguel Hernández in symbolic painting, shaping with great sensitivity feelings like love and hope.

Happy Alarcón has managed to seamlessly integrate the word in the image.

The show will visit 16 towns in Murcia and Alicante, ending its journey in the room that has Cajamurcia Foundation in Madrid.
