Install solar panels in 27 municipal buildings (28/12/2009)

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has approved the installation of photovoltaic solar power plants on roofs of municipal buildings east and west of the town.

The aim of this work is to encourage saving and energy efficiency as well as the accessibility and use of renewable energy.

This project is included in the explanatory memorandum to the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability.

The budget for both projects is 2,100,000 euros and employ a total of 20 people.

The installation of the plates will be implemented in 2010.

The implementation includes installation and commissioning of the components of power plants, driving the wiring to the right place for networking, and conducting the necessary procedures before the competent authorities to enable the facilities meet functions for which they were designed.

West of town centers will be installed:

- Cultural Centre Library and the Green Sangonera

- Guadalupe Cultural Center

Area covered: 419 square meters

- Library and Community Centre and Women of the Ñora

Area covered: 387 square meters

- Senior Center La Alberca

Floor Area: 165 square meters

Installed power: 15.5 Kw

- Centro Cultural de Corvera

Area covered: 385 square meters

- Centro Cultural de La Alberca

Floor Area: 196 square meters

Installed power: 11.5 Kw

- Cultural Centre Pedriñanes (Era High)

Area covered: 337 square meters

Installed power: 11 Kw

- Centro Cultural de La Arboleja

- Centro Cultural de San Ginés

Floor Area: 142 square meters

Installed power: 16.5 Kw

Photovoltaic systems for this project will have a voltage of 220V and a frequency of 50Hz.

The installed capacity will be an electric power generation from renewable sources close to 186,200 based on estimated annual kWh to 1,400 kWh / kW installed.

In addition, a saving of air emissions of 87,514 kg of CO2 per year, estimated based on the 0.47 KgCO2/Kwh generated in the national energy mix.

The tender budget totals 942.78.

In addition, a saving of air emissions of 108,142 kg of CO2 per year, estimated based on the 0.47 KgCO2/Kwh generated in the national energy mix.

The budget for these facilities is 1,157,215 euros.
