A doctoral thesis says that nursing professionals are left untouched by the work (21/12/2009)

Nursing professionals in the hospitals studied for the realization of a doctoral dissertation at the University of Murcia suffer 'psychosocial distress associated with working conditions and certain demographic characteristics. "

This situation, added the research conducted by María José López Montesinos, Professor, Department of Nursing at the University of Murcia, "outlines his health and affects the performance of their work."

The thesis advises in its conclusions investigate how far and how much they affect patient safety to the psychological processes that the nurse can present.

When analyzing the degree of satisfaction of these professionals, the paper points out that "have good relations with superiors, although there is a perception of receiving unfair treatment and recognition about the role they play."

For the realization of this thesis, the author analyzed a sample of almost five hundred nurses from various departments of nine hospitals in the Region of Murcia.
