Four arrested in an operation against drug dealing in entertainment venues (18/12/2009)

Under the instructions of the Secretary of State for Security, relating to the prevention of trafficking and drug use in leisure and entertainment areas, the Provincial Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Police Headquarters of Murcia, conducted during an operation last week focused on three entertainment venues located in the city of Murcia where the information gathered in recent weeks by the researchers, would be carrying out drug distribution activities.

These activities would be conducted with the consent and participation of local officials.

After performing the necessary steps and time confirmed the initial data, on 10 December, proceeded to conduct the registration of the three establishments investigated, where they found several bags of cocaine ready for sale and about three kilograms of hashish , together with annotations regarding drug sales made and some useful consumer.

As we noted during the inspections, the drug was hidden in different locations of the facilities, such as the interior of the gaming machines, gaming or vending, among the coffee cups stacked enabled voids under the floor slabs or inside appliances.

As a result of this operation, arrested four people, three Spanish nationals and fourth, Moroccan, who worked as managers of the establishments surveyed.

All were made available to the examining magistrate in Murcia Guard duties during the last week and ordered that the imprisonment of three of them.

At the same time, they are making the necessary steps to request the closure of these establishments.
