ALUM organizes conferences around the archaeological site of San Esteban (16/12/2009)

The association ALUM (Students of Arts from the University of Murcia) has organized a conference that will focus on the archaeological site found in the garden of San Esteban after excavations at the site.

The conferences are held on the prehistory professor D. UMU

Javier García del Toro, who in recent days has become the standard for the defense of such remains, and D.

Pedro Jesús Fernández Ruiz, a member of the public platform for the preservation of the archaeological remains of San Esteban.

The conference organized by ALUM are named "Past, Present and Future of the Muslim Murcia San Esteban" and with them is to provide a chronology of what happened, to raise awareness and college society which has happened and is happening today in that field.

In the words of President ALUM, Joaquin Lara "from the partnership we believe essential to conservation of the historical legacy of the Region of Murcia and is why we decided to engage in this cause, since one of the objectives that we set from the foundation of the entity was to be committed to society and culture.

With this conference, we aim to raise awareness in the university everything that has happened in the excavations so that from the university, it is known and together we can work together to preserve the site. "

The conference will take place at the Merced campus (Classroom Antonio Soler) on Thursday December 17 and will start around 17:00 h.

ALUM association is the largest association in the university within the Region of Murcia and inaugurate this conference provides a year full of activities both cultural and leisure.
