The Association of Students of Arts from the University of Murcia (ALUM), has decided to join the public platform in defense of the archaeological heritage of San Esteban, and thus, work closely with it in its restless and very active defense heritage.
With this initiative, the organization aims to support this platform since the first day, is fighting for the interests of the heritage of the Region of Murcia, and more specifically by the archaeological site discovered in the excavations at San Esteban Park Murcia city.
The site of San Esteban is exceptional and requires special treatment by the authorities of a city and a region that has failed so far to respect the legacy of their past material in the city of Murcia, which has suffered multiple samples in this area submission to other than cultural interests, which has led to irreparable loss of our collective heritage, the past of Murcia which is a legacy for the Murcia of today and tomorrow.
San Esteban should be a turning point in this sad tradition and an opportunity that should build a city that aspires to be Cultural Capital of Europe in 2016.
Otherwise it would be understandable.
ALUM association is the largest entity within the University of Murcia, and with this accession, aims to raise awareness of all college students the importance of heritage in our region and the importance of defense in all social spheres .
