The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Directorate General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, has taken emergency measures to protect the site of San Esteban.
Instructions have been issued to the company responsible for the works, and has been reported to the City of Murcia, to adopt the following measures:
-Keep running bilge pumps existing prior to the stoppage of work in order to remove water that may collect and keep the reservoir of the same.
-Installation of plastic sheeting to protect the ornamental likely condition that could cause heavy rain.
-Install plastic sheeting over construction elements capable of affection by heavy rain, materials produced by few consistent as mud or plaster.
-Fixing plastic sheeting to the ground surface by placing heavy pieces without nail or drill as concrete blocks, bricks, precast or other similar item that hold the cap.
-Provision of a permanent security guard, if necessary, alert the appropriate emergency services.
