Councillor of the United Left + The Greens in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, described today's "meager" budget to the Department of Markets for 2010 because in his opinion, keeps the traditional market momentum over large surfaces.
Herguedas has ensured that the traditional market "represents a form of responsible consumption that should be put in value because many families depend on it indirectly or directly, and yet, the Popular Party chooses to provide it with only 228,400 euros."
He noted that the area concerning decentralization records regarding the economic slowdown this year "and still not received items including a significant allocation to the districts, which manage only four percent of the total budget."
In relation to the council's Infrastructure and Community Services, Herguedas explained that of 39 million euros to be spent, only seven are for infrastructure investment in community services districts and three for the road.
It has reported that much of the budgets of this year and next will be devoted to pay infrastructure should cover the developers' and yet in many cases the council does not require compliance and perform the same works. "
