Despite the austerity of the budget of the Municipality of Murcia in 2010, neighborhoods and districts will continue to be the main beneficiaries of the game which will total the Department of Infrastructure and Community Services.
The budget next year that will manage the council amounted to a total of 45,238,653 euros, of which 60% will be used for investments in neighborhoods and districts of the municipality of Murcia, considering that the maintenance of infrastructure and services account for a significant proportion of the total.
Starting next January, the head of infrastructure will begin to hold meetings with various municipal boards of neighborhoods and districts to put on the table what are the major projects in each area and establish a schedule of actions shall be marked, mainly for the needs of each neighborhood and hamlet.
Of the total budget, will be 26,700,000 euros for the development of rehabilitation activities in urban areas, pedestrian areas and improved street lighting in neighborhoods and hamlet in the municipality.
From the Department headed by José Arce Pallares has made a significant effort to minimize the chapter to be spent on current expenditure budget.
For this reason, and by reviewing contracts with different companies, such spending has been descending into a million euro, this amount will allow for full investment
