Councilman Rafael Gomez picked up the award in Madrid
The website of the Municipality of Murcia, www.murcia.es, has won the prize V TAW Web Accessibility in the category of Public Web More Accessible II, which distinguishes the government websites of local range with the highest level accessibility according to W3C standards.
TAW Awards, of international (Spain and Latin America), is an initiative of the CTIC Foundation (Center for Information Technology and Communication), a private non-profit organization dedicated to research in the provision TIC'sya technology services.
TAW Awards recognize, encourage and disseminate the work of individuals and entities, public and private, working to promote the accessibility of web sites.
The jury was composed of experts in the field.
Councilman Quality and Modernization of the Administration, Rafael Gomez, received the award in Madrid on December 3, coinciding with World Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The mayor stressed that this award is the result of team work of the council to improve the website and make it accessible to all people, in order to allow citizens to access all the content and conduct all that allows page.
