Alarcón calls on House to halt the impending dismantling of the findings of San Esteban (01/12/2009)

Socialist Group members have visited today the archaeological excavation of San Esteban able to verify the magnitude of the findings and outstanding value.

Thus the spokesman of the PSOE, José María Alarcón, asks House to immediately halt work on the car after confirmation by the Director of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, Enrique Ujaldón, the signing of the bill that will allow clearance some of the remains, in particular, the main palace, about 400 m2.

I have no head-Alarcon stressed that there is someone right now who does not think of anything else to preserve the findings, put it in value and also the place where they are.

The Socialist spokesman has expressed concerns about the haste with which it is carrying out the process and the mixed messages that the PP is moving around the relevance of archaeological remains.

In this sense, Alarcon has called the House responsibility and reminded that it is a municipal works on public land, where they have found major findings.

The mayor, has insisted, must take a courageous decision because the parking can be built elsewhere and not over our past, our history or our future or that of Murcia.

After the visit, the spokesman for the PSOE has expressed a double sense of excitement and indignation.

Excitement in situ observe the magnitude and importance of this finding and indignation at the announcement of his imminent deforestation.

This has reminded the House that many citizens remain vigilant and are concerned about what might happen in San Esteban.

"You can not govern on his back to Murcia, it is time that the mayor House, for once, take a courageous decision and defend our heritage, what we have been and can be tomorrow", was completed.
