Raising public awareness on disability issues, mobilize support for the dignity, rights and welfare of these people, while trying to raise awareness about the benefits arising from the integration of people with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural.
This is the objective to be achieved with the commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, held on 3 December.
The Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare Policy and Equality, María del Carmen Pelegrin, inaugurated this morning the extent of information that the City has installed in the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
This is an information point where any citizen who is interested can come and receive information about the different types of disabilities, services, activities and resources offered by each of these entities
Murcia City Council, through the council that directs Maria del Carmen Pelegrin and Social Services, in collaboration with Disabled Peoples Organizations of the town, is today launching a comprehensive program that will include various items of information and activities, the development borne by the various entities.
This is the first year that the city of Murcia is preparing a program of activities to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and for this, the City Council contacted a total of 52 entities of People with Disabilities.
During these days will develop various activities (dance, drama ...) on a stage located on the square, giving special significance to this day and trying to create a climate of rapprochement and meeting with the rest of Murcia and Murcia .
