The UCAM bet on Environmental Education (27/11/2009)

The UCAM will tomorrow launch the first of the four routes of Environmental Education has organized for this course, the Vice President for University Extension.

The activities to be undertaken in the Secret Ravine in Sierra Carrascoy will be totally free and will be directed to students, families and workers of the UCAM.

Environmental Education Activities consist of the study of adaptations of plants and animals in our climate, the interpretation of the elements that shape a landscape and in the analysis of applications and human exploitation.

Activities will take place in the presence of two environmental educators in the White House Municipal Majal, about 830 hectares, situated in the Sierra de Carrascoy, within the Regional Park of El Valle and Carrascoy.

In it are important natural values that make this area a special place, where stand many populations of protected species.

Activities will begin at 10:00 am from the parking lot of the CEMAC, environmental education center of the CAM, located in Torre Guil Sangonera La Verde, Murcia.

The environmental route will be made from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 13.00 to 14.00 will visit the premises of the educational environment of the CAM for an example of bioclimatic architecture.

In addition to the above itinerary, are scheduled to be held such events in the months of January, March and April to be held in the Rambla de las Cuevas del Vulture and the gorge of the Canyons in the White House Municipal Majal .
