London Instructors teach a course in Murcia for cycling safely (26/11/2009)

The Department of Environment and Urban Quality and the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia (ALEM) have arranged for next Monday, November 30, a free demonstration sessions with expert instructors come from London, to teach interested persons to move safely on the road bike using the most modern methods of learning.

The course consists of a theoretical part, to be conducted at the headquarters of German and practices on public roads with real traffic.

The sessions demonstration of this innovative educational program for young cyclists will be held from 10 to 13, and 17 to 20 hours.

The workshop will involve the City Council on the Environment and Urban Quality, Adela Martinez-cache, and different groups that are part of the Working Group of the Bicycle and Local Agenda 21, as well as how the City Council.

Participants will have to carry your bike, if they had, the German will provide it during the course.

ALEM headquarters is in the building of the Local Development Agency, Paper Azarbe Street, Murcia.

The program for cycling safely is part of a learning process currently being followed thousands of young people in countries like Britain, Denmark, Holland and Belgium.

The objective of this initiative is to introduce the most modern methods of road safety education for bikers that are being implemented with notable success in several European countries, where the number of urban cyclists is increasing significantly in recent years .
