The Department of Environment and Urban Quality of the City Council and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations in the Municipality of Murcia are launching a new edition of the 'Put nature in your life' in order that the residents of the village to learn gardening and participate in contest ornamental balconies.
This initiative is part of the 'Murcia, a city to live. "
Around a hundred residents attended last year at this program.
The workshop consists of lectures, given by Fernando Son and gardening practices that will provide municipal officials in the City nursery located at the end of the Malecon.
Registration is free and workshops are held the last Thursday of each month, at a time of 20 to 21 hours at the headquarters of the Federation (C / San Patricio, 10. 2 nd door 1).
Participants will learn the type of plants most suitable for the weather, the planting, watering frequency and fertilizer, irrigation systems, orientation and height of plants, pots and planters and floral combinations, among many other things.
The contest will be open to owners balconies of patios, terraces and balconies decorated with plants, of dwellings in the municipality of Murcia.
The competition was held in the first half of May.
The jury will consist of professionals and members of the Department of Environment and Urban Quality, and the Federation of Neighbourhood Associations of the municipality.
The first prize is 450 euros, the second is worth 300 euros and the third with 150 euros.
The jury will evaluate the aesthetic quality of plants, combination, size, color, composition, care, variety of flowers and the environment in which they are located.
