Bolivian Tarija University learning the progress of the pig and goat in the Region (24/11/2009)

A total of 16 Bolivians of the Universidad Autónoma "Juan Misael Saracho" of Tarija will hold a course on pigs and goats in the region of Murcia, thanks to a collaborative project coordinated by the University of Murcia.

For two weeks, students will perform theoretical and practical activities in the Training Centers of Lorca and Molina de Segura and meet the University Farm and a number of livestock farms.

The project will help these professionals Bolivian Andean country can move to Murcia experience in the raising of pigs and the preparation of hams, sausages and cheese.

Murcia University provided the institutional reception Bolivian delegation headed by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, who spoke about the strength of this educational institution in farming, and the director general of Livestock and Fisheries of the Community, Adolfo Falagas, he called in pig farming and goat Murcia national and international reference.

At the reception ceremony, held in the building of Convalescence, home of the Rector, also attended the rector of International Relations and Communication, Maria Angeles Esteban, and the head of International Relations, Matías Balibrea.

This project is part of a call from the Spanish Agency for International Development and is coordinated by Professor of the University of Murcia Manuel Tovar.
