More than 1,150 people will participate this year in ecotourism activities in nature organized by the Department of Tourism through the Visitors Center of Light.
The third quarter of this program has already been launched in order to introduce people interested in activities such as hiking, climbing, Nordic walking and promote nature friendly tourism in the natural park of El Valle.
The main novelties of this year are the creation of routes for young people as a guide in nature for children and adults, as well as the consolidation of photography workshops, the expansion of more traditional routes and ascents to the heights of El Valle -Carrascoy.
In addition, during 2009 the activities have expanded to involve more people, from 850 people who participated in 2008 to 1,160, to participate in the 2009 edition.
Likewise, the Department of Tourism has been a pioneer in introducing the work of Nordic Walking, a new walking technique using poles simple and healthy, which is popular in Europe.
