The new road built in the municipality of Murcia are contributing substantially to traffic congestion in the town of Murcia, as shown by the data recorded by the Traffic Service of the City of Murcia.

Primo de Rivera Avenue has gone from 19,317 vehicles per day in May 2008, to 17,867 vehicles in November 2009, Ronda de Levante (from 21,354 vehicles in the measurements made in July 2008 to 18,126 in November 2009) , Juan Carlos I has grown from 20,351 in July 2008, to 18,216 vehicles in November 2009 and Plaza Castilla has gone from 16,451 to 14,431 vehicles.

The new road Miguel Indurain, Avenida Aranjuez and the Kingdom of Murcia are the daily influx of about 30,000 vehicles.

These data demonstrate not only the reduction in traffic in the center of the city of Murcia, but also the drivers are making a change of habits in the use of new roads, giving them more possibilities of movement.
