Gender violence, star of a conference at the University of Murcia (13/11/2009)

The Vice President for University Extension, University of Murcia, with the Government Delegation in the Region and the Municipality of Murcia, among others, collaborate in the Second Conference on Gender Violence in Secondary Education Institutes and the University of Murcia, organized by Professor Javier Ortega Cañavate.

The sessions aim to provide an overview of the phenomenon of gender violence, through the words of people working in the field and images that some artists try to move the debate on this matter.

The goal is awareness and awareness through a critical view showing the problems, gaps and challenges that we have to deal to end violence against women.

The development of the conference will take place in parallel with two different programs: one for college, to be held in the auditorium of the University (16-18 November) and another designed for students of IES (16-20 November) be held in the auditorium of Building Moneo.

Lectures, talks and visits are some of the activities of the program, whose inauguration will take place next Monday 16 at 10:00

am in the auditorium of the University.

Among the activities will be a conference of the Civil Guard, National Police and the local police on the police action against gender violence.

The Exhibition Hall of El Carmen will visit various institutes involved to see the Exhibition of Students and Teachers prepared for the occasion.

Murcia University held lectures by experts in the field, a round table and a concert by the Choir on Tuesday, 17, among other activities.
