Note from the Student of the Faculty of Arts:
1 .- As an introduction: the Student of the Faculty of Arts Association requested the temporary eviction ALUM office, together with other associations, has in the classrooms of La Merced assignment in the Student's own, as a regulation adopted by the Faculty Board through which the associations have the right to use the space provided that the Student not required for any activity organized, during which associations must leave the office.
This is the case of the publicity campaign of the vote, encouraged from the Dean to fight against abstention, that required a central space for the presence of students, as is the case with this office, as opposed to telling the Delegation of Students in the Faculty Building.
All associations were in agreement except one, the aforementioned ALUM.
The association understood that the "missed" without good cause, and views that this situation represented a slowdown in activity, was offended and asked the Student at least an alternative space to continue their work .
2 .- As a corrective: the Student assumes that, as among the list of infrastructure that the Faculty of Arts has not found another office to be attributed to ALUM an alternative space in use during this activity dissemination campaign of the vote.
It is understood that it is best to provide the clearance that the Student is in the Faculty, on a schedule similar to the commonly used ALUM, but always with at least one member of the Student within, as the Delegate of the Faculty can not assign it to assume responsibility for total privacy.
Of course, this reality is extensible to any association of lyrics that urge for a space this month.
3 .- ALUM also complains about the way it was advised of this verbally and with a week in advance.
The Student returns to take this and regretted not having provided this information in writing and a bit more in advance.
4 .- In the request ALUM members to collaborate on the information campaign of the vote, the Student does not preclude once aware of the association, in an act of consistency, has expressed support for such activity despite fierce criticism of the original, and does not preclude the cooperation of any student who requests it.
5 .- Finally, the Student understands that this statement would be meaningless without a commitment to everything proposed ALUM and a public apology on certain aspects of their improper mode of action to defend their interests: organized ALUM a spectacular display of broadcast with the slogan of "we have taken, based initially on the distribution of leaflets, putting up posters and personal explanations to the students of the Faculty, in a second stage the protest supplemented by notes releases to the media, and finally, its board members put a complaint to the university asking for the disqualification of the Executive.
On the other hand, enable Internet spaces where it should be noted the amount of personal insults and lack of truth in them produced by certain people, foreign-yes-to the policy ALUM.
Given that the Student is satisfied a public apology for those characteristics, which shows the items named and specified further actions agreed repair as the immediate application of the withdrawal of complaints to the CEO, given by closed this release, with a feeling of satisfaction at having achieved a certain channel to fruition the relationship between students and the Student, particularly for doing so by way of dialogue, the attitude and understanding.
We understand that for the good of all members of our faculty this should be so, it being concluded, then, the bad vibes that had been generated through the halls and understandable and prejudicial skepticism that had been created.
Encouraging all students to participate in the electoral process about to unfold in our Faculty, as well as any aspect of student representation and selfless service to the university community, close this statement with a warm greeting
