Enter operating more than 350 underground containers around the town (07/11/2009)

A total of 357 containers from the town and parishes, divided into 180 points, and are buried so it has reduced the visual impact allowing also more space on the street.

Of these, 311 are municipal solid waste, 42 containers and four of the paper.

Thus, all the neighborhoods of Murcia and 27 larger districts have this type of containers that will stack on the other parishes soon.

In the central 37 containers have been buried in El Carmen, 38, in the Ranero four, in the Prince ten, Fame, six, in Fleet, twenty, in San Andrés, fourteen in San Antolin, six , in St. Anton, twelve in San Basilio, four, in San Juan, six, in San Miguel, twelve St. Nicholas in six, in San Pedro, eight, in Santa María de Gracia, four, in Vistabella, eight in Vistalegre ten.

In addition it is already working on the installation of another two dozen in the town, four in the street Roque Lopez, four in Roque López Plaza and four in the Battle of Flowers Street, and eight teams in Constable Street.

The remaining containers were installed in the following 27 parishes: Algezares, Barrio del Progreso, Beniaján, Cabeza de Torres, Casillas, Churra, El Palmar, El Puntal, Espinardo, Guadalupe, Nuevo Javalí, Javalí Viejo, La Alberca Llano de Brujas , Los Dolores, Los Garres, Patiño, Bacons Bridge, San Ginés, San José de la Vega, San Pio X, Sangonera la Verde, Santiago el Mayor, and Zaraíche Santiago, Santo Angelo, Torreagüera and Zarandona.

All of them are operational, except for five Algezares, New Javalí Sangonera la Verde, waiting for that to equip them with power.

With the burial of the containers are able to diminish the visual impact, increase free space on public roads and minimize the inconvenience caused by waste.

The installation of each one of the underground civil work consists of excavation and construction of concrete pit, hydraulic platform to raise and lower vessels, hydraulic cover a specific mailbox for each container and two containers.

Besides these, other means are required since it is necessary to adapt this service vehicles currently in service connecting a system capable of powering the lift platforms and containers to carry out waste collection.
