The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, attended this afternoon the reopening of the company López Marin Raceway, which was devastated by a fire last July.
López Marín Sewer SL is a company that was founded in 1988 by Francisco López Gómez with two of his sons, Marcelino and Paco.
After his first year history, the company began to grow, so that in 1992 it changed its location to its current facilities in the hamlet of El Puntarrón in Sangonera la Seca.
And little by little began constructing each of the parties that now form the company.
The fire razed more than half of the facilities that make up the company, taking with stocks and buildings, along with the drying of wood.
It all began around 7 pm on the side of ships.
The fire spread rapidly, so that went to another ship, jumping a distance of over 20 meters and entering through a window, so that all stocks had been burned there.
The ceremony was also attended by the Bishop Emeritus of Cartagena, Bishop Javier Azagra; Luis Gestoso, Director General of Emergency Murcia, Remigio Lopez, Councillor Prevention and Fire Fighting and Civil Protection, and Lucas Jiménez, President of the Municipal Board Sangonera the Seca.
