The former prime minister and president of the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis (FAES), José María Aznar, will deliver the inaugural lecture of the academic year 2009-2010 in the UCAM, on Monday, November 9 at the Temple The Jeronimos Monastery, the seat of the Catholic University.

The graduation ceremony will begin at 10:30 am with a Mass by the Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, Cardinal Antonio Cañizares.

At the conclusion of the Eucharist, the president of FAES, will lecture on `The values in the current political life."

The academic ceremony, chaired by the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, accompanied by the rector, Josefina García Lozano, and honorary president of the University, Antonio Montoro Forge, have the assistance of many academic authorities, civil and religious as the president of the CARM, Ramon Luis Valcarcel, the third vice president of the Congress of Deputies, Jorge Fernández Díaz, Bishop of Cartagena, Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes, the retired bishop of the diocese, Bishop Javier Azagra, Archbishop of Burgos , Bishop Francisco Gil Hellin, the Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, the Director of University Business and Research of the Autonomous Community, Salvador Marín and the rector of the Universidad San Pablo CEU, José Alberto Parejo Gámir.

`Chair in Ethics, Politics and Humanities'

Among the novelties presented by the UCAM for 2009-2010 included the implementation of the Chair 'Political Ethics and Humanities ", created in collaboration with the FAES Foundation, to be led by former prime minister and president of the Foundation José María Aznar.

The Secretary General of the FAES Foundation, Jaime Garcia Legaz, said during a recent presentation that "this new teaching body has a profile of academic excellence."
