The head of Murcia encourages young people to discover and develop "innovation and creativity" scientific (05/11/2009)

The Malecón de Murcia Garden becomes a big stage with 70 stands and tents for the development of nearly 300 activities

The President of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today encouraged young people to discover and develop "scientific innovation and creativity in this unique is the Week of Science and Technology Region of Murcia."

Valcárcel opened today, accompanied by the Minister for Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, the ninth edition of this event dedicated to science, organized by the Ministry through the Seneca Foundation, which has become "one of the events Spain's most important "and will until 8 November with about 300 activities and the participation of 47 institutions including universities, museums, research centers and technology centers in the Jardines del Malecón de Murcia.

This shows, said Valcárcel, "continues to grow each year in quality and quantity" and will this year with 70 booths, five tents and six tents, a planetarium, a kindergarten science, a great stage for science theater and puppets, and a room development of workshops for children's plastic.

Also, in addition to the celebration of anniversaries with specific activities related to the 200 years since the birth of the British naturalist Charles Darwin or the International Year of Astronomy 2009, this edition pays particular attention to the 'European Year of Creativity and Innovation' with which the EU recalls the importance of these two aspects for the economic progress of a country.

Also within the area of business and transfer of results, has enabled a specific space for the network of offices Transfer Research Results of the three universities in the region.
