Twenty projects are competing in the seventeenth Business Project Competition (03/11/2009)

The jury of the seventeenth Business Project Competition, chaired by Councilwoman Youth and Employment, Mary Dolores Sanchez, met this morning to begin selecting the winning projects.

In this event there have been 20 projects with topics as varied as jewelry design, creating a news agency, new technologies and information, advertising, trade and commerce, beauty salons, virtual reconstruction of traffic accidents, furniture design low cost, nursing home, energy efficient management and services caravaning.

Most projects are created by innovative entrepreneurs between 25 and 40.

The jury, which met today, will hold a series of meetings to select the winning projects.

The jury is chaired by the Councillor for Youth and Employment and trained by representatives of institutions and organizations of Murcia Business University Foundation, CROEM, Women Entrepreneurs, Young Entrepreneurs Association, Association of Social Economics, Association of Young Farmers , Union of Worker Cooperatives, Chamber of Commerce, CCOO, UGT, PSOE and IU.

The awards totaling 37,862 Euros to be divided among the top three winners.

In some cases been granted accesits.

The winner will also get a kiss from 3,606 euros for attending a Master in Management of Business University Foundation, the runner will get a scholarship of 1,502 euros for the ongoing management assistance to SMEs, Fundación Universidad Empresa.

The awards ceremony will be held in December.

This event takes place since 1993.

Last year there were 14 business projects, of which ten were prize.

Of the ten winners, nine businesses have been launched.
