The Mayor "opens" the first familiar path of the region, known as "Miguel Ãngel Cámara Botía" by its promoters (18/10/2009)

About one hundred people participated this morning with House in the inaugural tour

The first family trail in the region designed and promoted by the Federation of Mountaineering is located in the White Mahal and is called "Mayor Miguel Angel Botia House."

The decision was adopted by resolution of the sports federation itself, which this morning has made the first visit to this local path.

Among the group of participants-about one hundred-was the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accompanied by the Councillor for Environment and Urban Quality, Adela Martinez-cache, and the president of the Mountaineering Federation, Antonio Ruiz.

Have also added to the itinerary mountaineering club representatives and hikers throughout the region.

Before starting the ride, Camera and Ruiz have found the plaque commemorating the event.

The family walks model is a new series introduced by the Mountaineering Federation which aims to encourage parents and children can share the values provided by this sport, especially respect for the environment and a healthy lifestyle.

To this end, the route is equipped with a series of interpretive signs that guide to learn about the curiosities of vegetation and fauna of the environment.

The first trail in the region of these features are located in the Municipal Park White Majal, with start and end on Highway Torreguil under the Mulberry Square.

The complete tour of SL-MP 15 "Mayor Miguel Angel Botia House" has a distance of 2.4 kilometers, and the ride today has been spent about an hour and a half, as the instructor, Eloisa Romero, has been explaining children attending the peculiarities of the plants and the environment.

The palm, oleander, pine, mastic, the dawn, the steppe, the aladiermo, the oak, the jaguarzo, the Kermes and juniper were the main protagonists of the flora of the path.

The pedagogical sense of the activity is discovered signs dot the road, dedicated to vegetation and fauna.

One of them, for example, refers to birds and teaches that "the bill is the tool used by birds for food and its form depends on what they like to eat."

Las Ramblas, the red color of the terrain and climate also have their corresponding informative posters.

The path-MU SL 15 "Mayor Miguel Angel Botia House" starts from the Plaza of the Mulberry and continues down the Rambla del Vulture, following in the Naveta Lane, Collado de la Piedra, Cerro Moreras, Plaza de las Moreras and Torreguil Road.
