The first section of the North Coast of Murcia is opened to traffic to join the avenues Juan de Borbon y Juan Carlos I (16/10/2009)

These works are executed after the agreement made this week by the Regional Government and the Municipality of Murcia for the full implementation of the North Coast, South Coast and Alternative Sangonera La Verde.

All these actions represent a total investment of 100 million euros from Extraordinary Action Plan for Economic Revitalization and Employment Consolidation of the Region of Murcia, of which 42 million is earmarked for the North Coast.

The entire path of this road is 12 kilometers and runs from the entrance of the A-7 in the hamlet of Cabezo de Torres, to the extent the municipality of Murcia with Sewell.

The coastal North and South are municipally owned and Sangonera variant is part of the National Road Network of the Autonomous Community.
