The Councillor for Planning and Urban Design, Fernando Berberena, recalled that ownership and responsibility for the maintenance and conservation of the Old Jail is the Ministry of Finance.
Urban has requested this morning in writing to the Tax Office to Murcia under the technical direction of an architect to assess the damage caused by the collapse of the dome and suggesting measures for the rehabilitation of all that has detached.
The building of the former Provincial Prison is for National Heritage and is awarded to the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry wanted to install a new home for the tax office in Murcia and suggested the City would be able to redeem the property for a large solar Juan Carlos I.
