The Department of Youth and Employment of the City of Murcia, who heads María Dolores Sánchez, offers occupational training courses for 190 unemployed Murcia can learn a trade and find work.

This free training program is aimed at unemployed 16 to 65 years.

Each course has 15 seats, participants must have the Graduate School or Education Certificate, depending on the course and need not have experience in the sector.

Candidates will complete a course selection test consisting of a questionnaire of basic education (literacy and numeracy), a psycho test and interview.

All tests are performed in the Auditorium of the Center for Training and Employment Initiatives of El Palmar.

Students may apply for grants for transportation, if they live in a town that is more than 5 km away from the Job Center of El Palmar, the unemployed at risk of social exclusion and unemployed immigrants can apply for funding for attending courses and students who engage in practices may receive a scholarship for attending them.

Likewise, the Department of Employment offers additional training during the year, funded by the City, as computer literacy, training in Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, food handler card and lends support to those students with special difficulties of learning deficiencies in their training.
