Cultural landscapes and routes in the natural environment and rural developments offer the Majal Blanco this season (25/09/2009)

About 4,700 people have passed through the Hall of Nature

The Department of Education and Personal, directed Pilar Megía, presents a new edition of Seminars in nature that are made in the White Mahal, located in the Regional Park of El Valle and Carrascoy.

In total you will be making six seminars on various topics on the weekends, for citizens in general.

The autumn-winter season, beginning on October 3, has two new features: Scenic Routes in the natural environment and rural development: a practical and recovery, conservation and enhancement of cultural landscapes: approaches and case studies.

To register for the workshops and seminars there are time limits and each participant pays 6 euros, except those aged 65 and over can attend for free.

3 and 4 October.

Enjoy Majal Blanco: games and workshops for the whole family.

New activities. A workshop to a weekend of fun and enjoy nature with children.

Will new games to know the landscape of Forest Park, guided by the environment and Crafts building upon natural and recycled materials, made bird feeders with pine cones, made with branches moving, picture frames decorated with seeds, bookmark pages.

17 and 18 October.

Organic gardening and varieties: the autumn-winter crops. The seminar will learn about the importance of choosing organic foods in the diet and the benefits they have on health.

Also will launch a mini organic garden.

I will discuss how to prepare the land, which species we can plant this time of year (garlic, onions, escarole, spinach, chard, lettuce, beans, etc.).

Complemented with a bus route for some examples of organic farms in our region.

This route could be done to the area of Mula and / or Fortuna, where there is a good example of such holdings.

24 and 25 October.

Tourist routes in the natural environment and rural development: a practical approach. Addressing the main issues to consider for the creation of tourist routes in the natural and rural intone defining what criteria need to be considered when planning, taking into account both landscape values, natural and heritage, as other factors (layout, security, etc.).

This is the second novelty of the season.

21 and 22 November.

The world of fungi and diversity in the Region of Murcia. A year invites citizens interested in the peculiarities of this group of living things, the main species found in forests and their characteristics.

Will know the most popular edible species that can be found in the region (chanterelles, Russulas, Lepiotas, etc.) Toxic species and the effects they produce on the body.

Will explain the basic rules for collection, the materials needed and the best parts of our country to find mushrooms.

The dynamics of this seminar linking theory with practice, so it has scheduled a bus route through an area of high variety mycological as Espuña.

28 and 29 November.

Local cuisine workshop: Christmas sweets. As usual since a few years ago we celebrated the workshop production of homemade Christmas cookies this year reaches its seventh edition.

12 and 13 December.

The recovery, preservation and enhancement of cultural landscapes: approaches and case studies. The term cultural landscape the result of the action of the development of human activities in a particular territory.

Since 1996, the Nature's Classroom of educational equipment host conducting Seminars Nature of Majal Blanco, taking full advantage of the excellent conditions for environmental training, provides this environment of Murcia.

Seminars Nature of Majal Blanco continue with good expectations, and to periodically update and improve the courses offered, consistent with the suggestions and requests from participants and applicants for training.

Since the launch of the program, about 4,700 people have participated in 247 seminars organized and held in the 300-plus weekends that have hosted these workshops.
