25% of the Murcia do not have digital terrestrial television only six months of the analogue switch (25/09/2009)

This is one of the most prominent of the research done by the Department of Quality and Modernization of the Administration on the degree of implementation of DTT in the municipality.

This study was conducted telephone survey at the beginning of last August, a total of 405 adult Murcia, of which 71.9% were women and 65.2% were 46 years or more.

Its aim is to understand the real causes of why Murcia have not yet adapted their TV, if you know the date of analogue switch-off and if they really know what the TDT.

Thus, according to data from the study, 78% of respondents knew what DTT, 21% do not know and 1% said yes but had a misconception.

On the basis of age, over 46 citizens are more ignorance on the DTT, with 28%, which is in addition to 2% that does not quite fit the question.

Thus, 87% of respondents younger than 45 have already installed digital terrestrial television, compared to 68% of those over 46 years.

By analyzing the different areas of the municipality, it is concluded that Algezares, Aljucer, tall, claws and Lages, San Benito - Patiño, San Benito - Barrio del Progreso, Canadas de San Pedro, Gea and Truyols, Jerome and Avileses, Sucina Zeneta, Stables, Beniaján, Los Dolores, Llano de Brujas, Bacons Bridge, El Raal, Los Ramos, Santa Cruz, Torreagüera, San José de la Vega, Albatalía, La Arboleja, Guadeloupe and the Depth is where the lowest percentage of people adapt their homes to DTT.

The parishes where they had less knowledge about the date of full implementation of DTT are Bath & Beggar Cabezo de Torres, Canadas de San Pedro, Casillas, Churra, Cobatillas, Corvera, Los Dolores, El Esparragal, Gea and Truyols, Jerome and Avileses, Lobosillo, Los Martínez del Puerto, Monteagudo, Santiago and Zaraiche, Sucina, Valladolises, Zarandona and Zeneta

With this information, the Department of Quality and Modernization of the Administration, as proved by the Governing Board on 22 December and in agreement with the Autonomous Community, will launch an information campaign and training activities on a DTT emphasis in these districts and sectors of the population are largely unknown, as the elderly.

Similarly, the City, in order to expand and improve digital coverage in the municipality will install three new transmitting facilities (Gap Filler) to give coverage to areas that have no topographical reasons new technology.

So, this was carried out in areas of the Esparragal, El Campillo and Montepinar, San José de la Montaña and the Garruchal.
